  1. Men's Health Series/Men's Shed

    August 10, 2022, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Men have a number of unique opportunities for healthy aging. This series is designed to provide a series of topics on the ways in which men can take charge of their health, prevent those conditions which are preventable, and be agents in their health. We also invite those who love their men to join us in this series. We plan to have a monthly series with speakers who are experts on the topic and provide time for questions and discussions. June 8: Men’s Relationships: How Do We Interact in Unique Ways July 13: Men as Caregivers This series is organized by Dr. Steve Hoover, Healthy Aging Coordinator, Central Minnesota Council on Aging. While at SCSU, Dr. Hoover taught the first course in the Minnesota University system on men: Boys, Men and Masculinities. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the American Men’s Studies Association. The series on Men’s Health is co-sponsored by the Central Minnesota Council on Aging and by a grant from the Central Minnesota United Way.
