  1. Global Warming and What Can We Do About It?

    June 22, 2022, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

In April 2022, the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released the final working group paper on what we can do to mitigate global warming. These reports take about 7 years to compile and involve thousands of scientists and almost 200 countries. The paper requires unanimous agreement among the countries! What is our global warming situation and what can we do about it? Lee Morgan will try to answer those questions. Lee is President of the Morgan Family Foundation which makes grants in "outstate" Minnesota to mitigate global warming. Lee is also convener of the St. Cloud Chapter of the Citizens' Climate Lobby a non-partisan organization devoted to mitigating global warming. Lee attended the COP26 (Council of the Parties) in Glasgow, Scotland November 2021 with 25,000 other people from all over the world tackling global warming and climate change.
