The St. Cloud Area Senior Fun Singers is a vocal chorus of 55+ senior citizens from the surrounding area who rehearse once a week (Sept-May) and then provide music/variety programs for nursing centers, retirement centers, and community events.

Now that a strong majority of Minnesotans believes that climate change is happening…and that human activity very likely has something to do with it…those same people need to know that we CAN do something about it. The problem is that there is a strong disinformation campaign - sometimes from people who know better but fear change - but sometimes from people who don’t know the facts. This presentation attempts to equip each of us to better respond to inaccurate information with facts…and to proactively make the case that progress is indeed possible. We will cover some of the technologies that answer such myths as “renewables won’t supply power when the sun don’t shine and the wind don’t blow,” “batteries are going to end up filling our landfills,” etc. When people know solutions exist, they have hope. And with hope, we all can begin to take action to mitigate what is becoming ever more apparent as a crisis. Come for a presentation of the facts…with plenty of time for discussion.

Muscle incorporates athletic-based exercises that improve upper body conditioning. You'll move through sever "blocks", which are groups of exercises that focus on different muscle groups. The focus of this class is on toning muscles and building overall strength. Note: this class intended for the Active Senior and will be taught both in person and virtual.
