    Join us for a free virtual class in 2021 designed to educate Medicare beneficiaries and those new to Medicare. Registration is required to receive detailed instructions for phone or live video via Zoom. Click on JotForm link to register. This presentation introduces Parts A, B, C, and D of Medicare, as well as what additional insurance options are available. The enrollment process and options for enrollment in Medicare will be discussed along with the personal costs of the program. Understand the coverage gap and eligibility for extra help with prescription drug costs. Second is “Yash, The Chimney Sweep,“ by Isaac Bashevis Singer. What happens to Yash that causes so much excitement after he falls off a two-story house and bangs his head? The object is to collect winning sets of these tiles, as in card games like gin rummy.

    Since June 2020, the Whitney Senior Center has registered to host TED Circles, an “open community of small groups that engage in conversations about big ideas.” TED Circles discussions are based on monthly themes provided by TED. Whitney’s TED Circles are hosted by RSVP Volunteer Lalita Subrahmanyan on Zoom every Tuesday, from 1:00-2:00 pm. So far, we have discussed TED Talks on themes such as the Environment, Designing with Humanity and Resilience. Participants, some of whom attend regularly, say that through TED Circles they have met interesting people from a variety of backgrounds in the St. Cloud area and learned new perspectives on issues they have never thought about before.
