1. Are grills allowed on apartment decks?

Grills are not allowed on the decks or patios of apartment buildings.  Electric grills also fall into this category.

Grills, and the fuel sources, are allowed to be used and stored further than 15' from the building.

2. Where do I get a burning permit?

You can purchase a burning permit in person at Fire Station 1, lobby hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM, or by mail.  Permit application are available in a file box outside the lobby door if the lobby is closed.

Permit applications are also available online.  Print the application below and send it with your payment to:
