Please be advised that beginning on Monday, June 20, 2016, 33rd Avenue North from 1st Street North to 8th Street North will be closed to through traffic. Detours will be posted.
The road closure is needed to perform a full depth mill and overlay on 33rd Avenue North from 1st Street North to 5th Street North, and to reconstruct the roadway and underground utilities on 33rd Avenue North from 5th Street North to 8th Street North.
Coinciding with this work, 3rd Street North from 33rd Avenue North to just westerly of 34th Avenue North will have mill and overlay work done, along with replacement of the traffic signal at 3rd Street North/33rd Avenue North.
Weather permitting, these road segments are anticipated to be reopened as follows:
• 33rd Avenue North from 1st Street North to 5th Street North: Mid July 2016.
• 33rd Avenue North from 5th Street North to 8th Street North: End of August 2016.
Cross streets with signalized intersections (including 3rd Street North) will remain open, but motorists can expect minor traffic delays and are advised to find an alternate route if possible.
