RSVP volunteers are involved in an ongoing Pillow Project at Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN. These volunteers create pillows for patients being transferred out of the emergency room to another medical facility. Each pillow is machine embroidered with a message of comfort from the ER staff saying “The hands that cared for you continue to care.” Fairview Northland Volunteer Coordinator, Jackelyn Bekius, says “While the pillows are a little thing, they really do make a difference to the patients and their family members. The nurses in the Emergency Department always get so excited when they see me come in with a bag of completed pillows as they love to give them out.” A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to all volunteers who are involved in this special project.
