PUBLIC NOTICE FERC NO. 4108
On November 30, 2022, the City of St. Cloud (City) filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) the final license application for relicensing of the St. Cloud Hydroelectric Dam. The project is located within the City limits. The Project is an existing dam with an installed generating capacity of 8.64 MW operated as a run-of-river on the Mississippi River. The City seeks relicensing with FERC to continue current operations of the dam. The project license has a license expiration date of November 30, 2024. There are no proposed changes to the operation of the dam and the application includes measures to protect cultural, terrestrial, and aquatic resources at the Projects. The City believes the proposed measures described in the application for the license adequately take into consideration the important power and non-power values of the City.
