Celebrating the First Ever Source Water Protection Week

St. Cloud Public Utilities is celebrating the first ever Source Water Protection Week by remembering that the Mississippi River and surrounding water sheds are precious resources that need to be protected for future generations.  The City of St. Cloud uses the Mississippi River as it’s source of drinking water provided to over 70,000 customers.

St. Cloud Public Utilities has a dedicated staff of 37 water professionals that protect area water sheds by implementing best management practices, investigating spills, and providing community education events. To commemorate the week, we are reminding customers that everyone has a role in protecting our shared water resources from pollution and practicing water conservation.
