Lake George is a vibrant gathering place for events in the St. Cloud community, as well as a recreation area and park. Recently, the lake has experienced algae blooms that have made the lake green in color with unpleasant odors. The City has put in place many water quality measures to restore Lake George and prevent algae blooms in the future. The most recent measure is the application of alum treatments that will improve water quality and clarity in the lake.
