Beginning Tuesday, May 8, 2012, 1st Avenue South from 8th Street South to 11th Street South will be closed to through traffic to facilitate a public improvement project to reconstruct public utilities and street. Weather permitting, this closure is expected to last until approximately mid-August.
A detour for through traffic will not be posted. Please note that sidewalks adjacent to the construction site will be closed as well.
Local neighborhood traffic is asked to find an alternate route that does not cross this segment of 1st Avenue South.
