St. Cloud is keeping city streets and local waterways clean with our newest street sweeper!
The Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources recently published a video highlighting St. Cloud's vacuum style street sweeper. Purchased in part with funds from a Clean Water Fund Grant awarded to Benton Soil & Water Conservation District , the new street sweeper can collect fine sediment, debris, and dust from roads. Collecting this material and disposing of it through recycling, composting, or a landfill keeps it from polluting the Mississippi River, which provides the City of St. Cloud's drinking water.
You can see a video of the vacuum street sweeper in action and hear more about how it helps protect our local waterways on the city website.
