Mitigating the Climate Crisis
Monday, October 24, 2022
Now that a strong majority of Minnesotans believes that climate change is happening…and that human activity very likely has something to do with it…those same people need to know that we CAN do something about it. The problem is that there is a strong disinformation campaign - sometimes from people who know better but fear change - but sometimes from people who don’t know the facts.
This presentation attempts to equip each of us to better respond to inaccurate information with facts…and to proactively make the case that progress is indeed possible. We will cover some of the technologies that answer such myths as “renewables won’t supply power when the sun don’t shine and the wind don’t blow,” “batteries are going to end up filling our landfills,” etc.
When people know solutions exist, they have hope. And with hope, we all can begin to take action to mitigate what is becoming ever more apparent as a crisis.
Come for a presentation of the facts…with plenty of time for discussion.
