Public Works Street Division personnel started snow/ice management operations at 2:00am today. All arterial, collector and residential roadways will be plowed again.

Due to the drop in temperatures, the roads are slick and icy.  Salt is being applied as needed, especially at intersections, however, the low temperatures reduce the effectiveness of the salt. 

It is advised to take extra caution.  There have been several accidents reported and many late starts for area schools this morning due to the current road conditions.
