Liquor License Information

Liquor License Information
The process of issuing a liquor license begins upon receipt of a properly completed application and associated fees by the City Clerk. The application and supporting documentation is then forwarded to the Planning, Police, Health and Legal departments for review. Upon completion of the reviews, the application is returned to the City Clerk and placed on the Council agenda. A public hearing will then be set at which the Council will hear testimony for or against the license, and ultimately issue their approval or denial.

You should plan on attending the Council meeting at which your application is being considered in order to answer any questions the Council may have. All regular Council meetings are held on Mondays in the City Hall Council Chambers at 400 2nd Street South and begin at 6 p.m. Contact the City Clerk if you have questions regarding the specific time and date on which your proposed application will be considered.
