Community Collaborations

Whitney Senior Center promotes healthy aging within the community by facilitating programs and offering space to clubs, businesses and organizations that keep seniors engaged in their community and assists seniors in finding needed resources. Community collaborations include Catholic Charities Senior Dining, the Senior LinkAge Line (an information and referral service through the Central Minnesota Council on Aging), RSVP (a volunteer program for persons age 55 and better), and WACOSA (a day program for older adults with disabilities).

Congregate Dining

Senior Dining is sponsored by Catholic Charities and has been a part of Whitney Senior Center since 1975. Senior Dining offers many meal choices, Check out the menu website for more information.

Due to COVID-19, through 2020, Senior Dining is currently offering frozen meal pickup. Meals are available for pick-up at the Whitney Senior Center Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the East Entrance.

RSVP: Greater St. Cloud Area Retired & Senior Volunteer Program

RSVP is a volunteer program for men and women age 55 and better offering a variety of one time and on-going volunteer opportunities at over 170 local organizations in Stearns, Benton, and Sherburne Counties. RSVP staff assist seniors in finding meaningful volunteer opportunities that meets the needs of both the individual and the community.

Volunteers choose their own level of commitment and can utilize benefits through RSVP. RSVP volunteers are an effective and dependable resource in the community. Volunteers enrich their retirement by sharing their time, talents and life experiences. The main RSVP Office is located at Whitney Senior Center.

Central MN Council on Aging: Senior LinkAge Line

Senior LinkAge Line is a free telephone information and assistance service which assists older adults and their families to locate community services. Help is closer than you think!

Programs offered such as: Health Insurance Counseling, Prescription Drug Assistance Programs, Medicare, Caregiver Support, Housing, Transportation, Home Delivered Meals, In Home Services, and much more. The Senior Linkage Office is located in the east side of Whitney Senior Center outside Clemens Hall.

Cloud Travel: Utopia Tours

Cloud Travel and Utopia Tours provides scheduled day trips, casino trips, extended motor coach tours and air and cruise travel. See travel kiosk located next to the information desk in Clemens Hall, or call 1-800-872-8445.

MN Highway Safety and Research Center: Driver Improvement Program

Are you 55 or older? This course will save you 10% on your auto insurance for 3 years. There are no written or behind the wheel tests! There are 8-hour class for the first-time students and 4-hour refresher class for the repeat student.
