The city sweeps its 350 lane miles of streets and paved alleys on a regular basis as soon as weather permits. This usually begins in April. The city sweeps twice in spring and once in fall.

Depositing any material (i.e. leaves, trash, dirt) from the boulevard or private property onto the street is strictly prohibited.

Our sweepers dump directly into dump trucks so that all of the material can be hauled away to be recycled, composted or sent to the landfill. Because it is screened at the compost site, very little goes to the landfill.
