Compost Site

The compost site is now closed for the 2023 season. 

Residents shall NOT enter the site at this time. Crews using heavy equipment are actively preparing the site for the next season. Unauthorized entry to the site causes safety concerns for staff and the public.

St. Cloud River Bluffs Regional Park Compost Site

Customers are encouraged to utilize the compost site for grass clippings and leaves, as well as brush and tree waste. A permit is required to use the compost site. Permits are valid only for the year it was purchased.

The 2024 season begins Monday, April 1, 2024 and ends Saturday, November 23, 2024

Permits

Permits can be purchased at City Hall during regular business hours, or by mailing your application to City Hall.  Compost Permit Application (PDF). Please allow 7 - 10 days for processing and mailing the permit. Permits cannot be purchased online at this time.

The St. Cloud compost site (522 33 Street South) is located in the St. Cloud River Bluffs Regional Park area. St. Cloud River Bluffs Regional Park is located east of County Road 75, off of 33rd Street South.

Hours of Operation

Residents shall NOT enter the site during non-operational hours; this is considered a violation. The City reserves the right to revoke any violator's permit for the season.

The compost site season is April 1, 2024 - November 23, 2024 (depending on weather)
