Reel in the prize catch on Tuesdays and Fridays this summer, June 7th to July 26th from 10am-12pm (noon), with the Lake George Fishing Club! Anglers of all ages can meet us down at the Lake George Boathouse/Shelter on the east side of the lake for a little catch and release fun, plus more activities, prizes and free giveaways! All of this fun, and Fishing Club is FREE! Equipment and bait will be provided at no charge; staff will be on hand to assist with baiting and handling of fish. Remember, if you are 16 or older, a fishing license is required. Call Jorgen at 650-3053 for more information. Fishing Club will not meet July 4th or 7th.
In case of inclement weather, Fishing Club will be canceled. Watch WJON or our Facebook page for weather announcements.
Join us at Lake George on Sunday, June 25th for our annual Fishing Event as part of Granite City Days Family Fun Fest! For details, check the Granite City Days webpage!
Do you have old fishing tackle or rod and reels just lying around? St. Cloud Park and Recreation is asking anyone who might have such equipment to donate it for our Lake George Fishing Club, educational seminars, special events and for kids or families who need fishing equipment to checkout for use. If you would like to donate, please drop off used — or new! —fishing equipment at Whitney Recreation Center.
